SHIRO! Community Cashes Out Their Virtual Casino Chips

The SHIRO! community spent the last month losing countless digital dollars to bunny-clad women in Natsume’s “Serious Fun” Virtual Casino . Now that April has arrived, it is time for these “Virtual CaSHIROs!” to wish the bunnies goodbye and find their way off this casino floor.

This notably quieter challenge — in terms of submissions — than some previous iterations felt almost ironic given the flashy walls of noise that are the hallmarks of casinos, virtual or otherwise, worldwide. This did little to detract from those who participated with daily banter and Community Challenge discourse lighting up the SHIRO! Discord server.

Let’s get into the results, queue the music!

Original VIRTUAL CASHIRO! Community Challenge Track by Random

Four weekly challenges saw the SHIRO! community tackling a variety of table games in the Free Play Mode. Each respective event was won by the participant who had the highest cash-out amount.

We kicked March off with the Natural (Blackjack) event won by Rink Rat with a total amount of $34,050. This score, submitted in the waning hours of the first weekly challenge, only narrowly edged out howyouben ’s by $32,000.

Howyouben would come back with a vengeance in the second weekly challenge, La Grande (Baccarat), scoring $30,415, topping Double Dime by $3,465.

Repeating the pattern established in the second week, the previous second-place finisher Double Dime ultimately won the third weekly challenge, Wheel King (Roulette), in a dominant fashion, cashing out at $44,000 — a score exceeding the other entries combined.

The month closed with the Poker Prodigy (7 Card Stud) challenge. Rink Rat won week 4 with another curtain-close submission of $12,340, topping Rasputin3000 ’s previously leading score by $200.

Howyouben cleared the story mode on March 19 — a grueling task giving that the fourth stage demands the player win $100,000 in the entirely luck-based Slot Machines. He became the first to claim the Gamester prize (roll credits in story mode) and proved that it was indeed possible to beat Virtual Casino .

Howyouben shared the closing cinematic of Virtual Casino for all to bask in — story spoilers!

Howyouben was generous with his advice afterward, providing the encouragement needed for me ( Rasputin3000 ) to follow in his footsteps on March 23. While there would ultimately be only two participants to complete the Sisyphean task that is Virtual Casino ’s five story stages, Lee (ToastWithTheMost) put in a concerted effort in the final week of the challenge but fell short — see left.

Speaking of the Slot Machine, the Jackpot challenge (highest cash-out amount in Slot Machine) ran all month long. Rink Rat held the top spot with a score of $17,000 early in the month but would ultimately be knocked into second place by howyouben ’s insane score of $134,000 on March 17. This is a nearly unfathomable cash-out total that went effectively unchallenged for the remainder of March.

The SHIRO! Community reacting to howyouben ‘s $134,000 cash-out in the Slot Machine.

The coveted overall category, Casino Commandant , was won by howyouben with his combined cash-out total of $223,435, a $100,000 lead over Double Dime ’s second place $114,620. Rink Rat rounded out the top three with his cash-out total of $94,335.
