Whizz #BestOfSaturn

Whizz is a Flair Software isometric platformer that first saw life on the DOS, Amiga, and CD32 back in 1994 before being ported to Saturn and releasing in Japan and Europe in 1997. Play as the cute bunny Whizz (short for Wizard) and run, spin, and jump your way through four worlds with several levels each.

Your goal is to reach your hot air balloon before your rival Ratty the Rat. The levels are colorful, the music is adequate, and the controls are OK, though the isometric perspective always makes judging jumps a tad difficult.

The game runs on a time limit, so hop to it! Kids will love it, once they get used to the controls.

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
