Sakura Wars 2 Fan Translation Is OUT NOW!Finally, 27 years after its release in Japan, the second entry in the Sakura Wars series on Saturn is now playable in English — thanks to the team of fans that translated Sakura Wars 1 six years ago! Simultaneously, a Portuguese translation patch has been readied by a team led by Gopicolo that coordinated with the English team. It will be available on SegaXtreme soon, but until then, it can be downloaded here . Back in 2019, a team led by Noah Stream released the long-awaited fan translation for Sakura Wars 1 on the Saturn. It launched the same day as the then-new Sakura Wars in Japan: The wait is over! #SakuraWars is now, for the first time ever, playable in English on the #SegaSaturn ! Around 2021, the original team reconvened to begin work on a fan translation of Sakura Wars 2. Then in early 2023, the team graciously allowed us to announce the project on the SHIRO! Show , with the demo for Sakura Wars 2 being entered for the SEGAXtreme Anniversary Game Competition that year. We posted an update in late 2023 detailing the continued work the team had done to make sure the fan translation was the best it can be. Because of the massive scale Sakura Wars 2 brings compared to the first iteration, much more time was needed to ensure the game was in its best state. Thanks to all their hard work, the time has finally come: Sakura Wars 2 is now available to play in both English and Portuguese! In Sakura Wars 2, you once again take control of Ogami, returning after the events of Sakura Wars 1 and getting some training overseas. You return to a virtually empty Theatre, minus a few familiar faces depending on your lady of choice. Once settled in, you are introduced to a couple new team members, Orihime Soletta, a Japanese-Italian member who doesn’t take a liking to Ogami, and Reni Milchstraße, a member of the European Star Division with extraordinary spirit power, known as a Wunderkind. Returning of course are the original cast from Sakura Wars 1 if you wish to continue your relationship. The main plot involves your team being tasked to take down a group known as the Black Demons, who are a group of evil black magicians. You must stop them before they wreak havoc all across the city, and potentially the world!
